Program description
Our Central Ohio Buckeye community isn’t just an academic powerhouse—it’s home to countless local businesses owned and operated by proud Ohio State alumni, as well as beloved campus staples that have endured as the seasons pass.
In recognition of that, the alumni association is proud to celebrate these alumni with the Buckeye Beverage & Bites Tour. From morning coffee to an afternoon pint or delicious bite, every stop is a chance to support a fellow Buckeye and satisfy your culinary cravings.
How it works
1 Get your pass
Buckeye Beverage & Bites Tour is a mobile exclusive pass featuring alumni-owned businesses where you explore and check in at each stop along the way to receive great prizes!
2 Receive text
Your pass will be instantly delivered to your phone via text and email and is ready to use immediately! There is no app to download. Your pass can be saved to your phone’s home screen for easy one-tap access.
3 Visit and explore
When visiting a stop on your itinerary, ensure your location services are turned on to check in via GPS. Each check-in earns you an entry to win an Ohio State YETI tumbler and unlocks exclusive rewards along the way!
Prizes
As you make your way through the tour, you’ll unlock fun rewards based on the number of check-ins you complete. After your first stop, you’ll receive an exclusive set of Buckeye Beverage & Bites Tour stickers, mailed straight to the address you provided during registration.
- 3 unique check-ins: Score a magnetic bamboo bottle opener (pickup required)
- 7 unique check-ins: Earn a commemorative pint glass (pickup required)
Prizes are expected to be available beginning in June. Prizes can be picked up at Longaberger Alumni House (2200 Olentangy River Road, Columbus), Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The location is closed on University holidays—just bring your phone as proof of completion. Limit one prize per person, while supplies last.
Bonus: Every check-in also earns you an entry for a chance to win a signature Ohio State YETI. Winners will be drawn in November 2026 and contacted via email.

- After signing up for a pass, you should receive a “Thank You” text message and/or email. Open the message and click the link provided.
- Once you click the link, your pass will open in your browser on your iPhone.
- Tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- If your iPhone is running iOS 14 or earlier, the three dots may appear in the top-right corner instead.
- After tapping the three dots, select “View More.”
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
- You will then be redirected to a new screen showing the icon and title that will appear on your home screen. You may edit the name or icon if you would like.
- Once you are finished, tap “Add” in the top-right corner.
- After tapping “Add,” you will automatically be redirected to your home screen, where you should now see the pass.

Join our Buckeye Beverage & Bites Tour mobile pass. You’ll receive a text message and email with information on how to access your mobile pass. Once you arrive at a location on the tour, simply open your pass and click check-in.
The tour is free to join, but any food or drink purchased along the way will be at your expense.
