Event description

Dive into autumn with the return of the Fall Family Festival!

This year, our Buckeye families are in for a special treat: We’re taking the festival to the newly renovated Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. Our partners at the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences are helping us celebrate the fall season by introducing Buckeye families to the 261-acre learning lab operating right here on the Columbus campus!

Guests can expect fun family activities, including an inside look at the new Multispecies Animal Learning Complex (MALC) where you’ll learn about the 60 milking cow robotic dairy, along with other amazing features of this living laboratory. Planned activities include barn tours, scientific experiments and even a special celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of Ohio State’s Homecoming Queen Cow, Maudine Ormsby. Your ticket includes a special frozen treat and lots of giveaways, and local food trucks will be on-site for additional food and drink purchases.

Note: Guests will be directed to park at Longaberger Alumni House (LAH) and take a looping shuttle to Waterman Lab. Shuttles will loop between LAH and the MALC from 4–7:30 p.m. on event day. Closed toed shoes are encouraged.
