Message from the SAC President

September 16, 2026

Hi Buckeyes!

I am so beyond honored to serve as the President of the Student-Alumni Council for the 2026-2027 school year. The Ohio State University is such a special school with equally as special experiences, and I am so honored to give back through uniting this truly diverse group of dedicated students and alumni.

At an organizational level, Student-Alumni Council’s mission is to connect Buckeyes – past, present, and future. Whether this entails engaging with members of the Ohio State community throughout Homecoming Week, encouraging school pride during our Rivalry Week against That School Up North, or learning about diverse viewpoints and experiences through Table Talks, we find ways to spread the spirit and tradition of Ohio State.

Being a graduate of Ohio State and joining one of the largest alumni bases in the country has so much to offer- our mission is to both inspire students to connect now, as well as become an engaged alumni later in their lives. With all of our unique initiatives and events, our priority is to ensure that ALL Buckeyes feel welcomed and valued by SAC and the Ohio State Alumni Association.

It’s the individuality of our organization that allows us to not only connect students and alumni, but also promote inclusivity, community, and passion. As an outreach-based organization, we look forward to continuing our service and support for the university we all love. We are equipped with the most incredible students from a range of backgrounds who are dedicated, energetic, and driven to grow as leaders and students. We are so excited to keep enhancing the college experience, and cherishing what it means to be a Buckeye for life.

In the SAC spirit,

Ella Giesecke
