2025 has been a year of pride and progress for Buckeye Nation. From Brutus’ 60th birthday celebration to the women’s basketball team’s incredible season and the opening of the Monda Student Resource Center, these stories reflect the spirit and strength of our community. 1. These champions give back to the Columbus community

Women’s basketball student-athletes are successful, both on and off the court, in their dedication to helping others and making an impact.
2. 60 years of Buckeye history preserved

Since 1965, University Archives has safeguarded Ohio State’s rich history, from handwritten letters to game footage and campus traditions. This fall, we celebrate six decades of preserving the stories that connect generations of Buckeyes.
3. Brutus at 60: A legacy of kindness

Being Brutus helped Emily Moor Williams ’03 learn how to ‘pay forward.’ Her new endowment ensures that financial limitations won’t stop anyone from stepping into the role of Brutus.
4. President Carter highlights innovation, access and opportunity in State of the University

In his second State of the University address, President Ted Carter outlined bold priorities — from expanding AI research to increasing affordability and career pathways. These initiatives reflect Ohio State’s commitment to driving impact and creating opportunities with the support of our Buckeye community.
5. Integrative health program benefits mind, body and spirit

Jim and Christina Grote's support is propelling education and innovation at Ohio State’s Center for Integrative Health.
6. Buckeyes Helping Buckeyes: A lifeline in tough times

This alumni-driven program offers emergency support to those facing financial hardship. Alumni grants are changing lives like Sue Wasserman's ’84 — one donation at a time.
7. Creating good health

Tech entrepreneur Matt Scantland ’01 was inspired by a personal crisis to take control of his well-being and is helping others do the same.
8. Pelotonia runner is often asked: where’s your bike?

Dr. Mary Dillhoff ’09 MS, a surgical oncologist at The James, planned to run 75 miles in August during Pelotonia’s Ride Weekend. Read how her father, friends and the spirit of marathons keep her motivated.
