Detroit Alumni Club: Food Drive

Event details:

Our food drive event will take place during the Ohio State versus Penn State game watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings. Game time is still TBD. In 2024, Ohio State alumni donated three pounds for every pound that Penn State alumni donated (342 pounds to 107.5 pounds, to be exact). Let's see if we can beat that in 2025. 

Food drive guidelines:

• the alumni club that brings the most food in terms of weight to Buffalo Wild Wings during our game watch party will be declared the winner
• the cutoff for donations will be the end of the 1st quarter of the game
• the winning alumni club will be announced at halftime
• the focus is on nutritional nonperishable food items in boxes or canned containers (no glass)
• proteins (peanut butter and tuna) and boxed items (whole grain cereal and pasta) are needed most
• other items needed include soup, applesauce, canned beans, canned vegetables, crackers, canned fruit, rice, etc.
