Event description

The Knox County Alumni Club is hosting these two prestigious ensembles for a delightful afternoon of choral music. Celebrating its 150th year of singing, the Men’s Glee Club is returning to Knox County for its fifth concert in the past 20 years. This group of 75 tenors and basses always impress the audience with their outstanding harmonies and recently participated in a concert at Lincoln Center in New York City. During a November Buckeye football game, they joined over 100 Glee Club Alumni and the Ohio State Marching Band for a halftime tribute to Frank Sinatra. The Ohio State Chorale is a 45-member coed ensemble that features the university’s most experienced singers.

The concert is open to the public, free of charge; no registration is required. A donation will be collected to cover the expenses in bringing the singers to Mount Vernon. Any additional money will go towards the Alumni Club’s Scholarship program which benefits Knox County students attending Ohio State. The club is also seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of transporting the choirs.
