About
Our organization plays a role in the academic endeavors of the College of Engineering, the Civil Engineering Department and Civil Engineering students by supporting occasional technical seminars and other events related to our field, and by sponsoring departmental scholarships. We also hold several social events throughout the year to facilitate networking among alumni, students and faculty.
Our impact
Welcome!
At Ohio State, we are focused on building a strong Buckeye community of professional and personal friendships through:
- our fall welcome event where students visit poster stations for the many student organizations
- a research expo celebrating the accomplishments of students in our graduate programs
- vibrant society student chapters, including ASCE, a revived ITE chapter, steel bridge and concrete canoe competition teams
We are proud to share our society's accomplishments, including:
- earning the highest distinction of Scarlet Status for the sixth consecutive year
- our society received an Outstanding Program Award for the Industry Mentor Program, recognizing our strong collaboration with alumni, department staff and current Buckeye Engineers
- honored as one of just three Outstanding Alumni Societies
- our annual golf outing where this past year we raised $3,150 for our scholarship fund and $410 for the Dr. Merry’s Scholarship Fund
