Scholarship
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Nashville Scholarship fund has been established through the hard work of our club members, the generosity of our donors and the many Buckeye fans and alumni.
Scholarship Award Procedures and Administration
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Nashville offers two types of scholarship awards annually:
Goes to the highest ranked applicant each year. Currently, the award amount is $2,000 and renewable for four years. All disbursement of funds to the student’s account and monitoring of satisfactory academic performance are administered by the University.
The award is completely funded by the Middle Tennessee Ohio State Alumni Club. It is our hope to award students approximately $2,000 each should they be recommended for this scholarship.
Our club is proud to provide scholarships to students in the club area who are accepted at Ohio State and are committed to attend the university.
Students from the club area may be awarded scholarship money based on the following criteria:
- record of participation in school, community, extracurricular activities and academic merit
- quality of answers to several essay questions
- a personal interview with our local Scholarship Committee

How to donate to the Club’s Scholarship Program
Make a gift to the The Lynne Murray Stockwell Scholarship or the Middle Tennessee Scholarship.
Make a donation to The Ohio State Foundation, PO Box 736096, Chicago, IL 60673-6096. Please mention The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Nashville in the memo line. The Ohio State Foundation is a tax exempt organization, so your gifts are tax deductible.
Scholarships are funded through member donations, direct gifts to Ohio State scholarship funds, and club dues, with most dues supporting scholarships. Additional funds are raised through game watch ticket drawings, silent auctions and sales of donated items.
