Eyan Bryant

Eyan considered several Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) before ultimately landing at Ohio State thanks to receiving the Morrill Scholarship (MSP) with distinction, which fully supported his cost of attendance. He made the most of his time here, serving as the president of Ohio State’s chapter of NAACP, as well as participating in the Undergraduate Student Government Black Caucus and the Alpha Phi Alpha Kappa chapter. Eyan also enjoyed working several MSP events such as the early arrival program, the Check on Your Strong Friends mental health event and the MSP distinction workshop. He appreciates that MSP gave him a family and community aspect here on campus.

Additionally, Eyan created and owns 2MadHatters with his brother and maintains his own prominent social media presence. Eyan’s favorite experience here at Ohio State was studying abroad in France and Morocco as part of the Global Education Program, which allowed him to have a transformative experience that sparked a lifelong interest for him.

In October 2025, Eyan published his first book titled Profound Pondering. This first volume contains a collection of essays and walks through mental health awareness and philosophies, which Eyan consistently talks about in his podcast and YouTube videos. The staff members at MSP even held a book signing opportunity for Eyan in Hale Hall! Eyan graduated in spring 2026 and will take a gap year where he looks forward to writing his next volume and would love to start doing engagement events.
