Crowd-sourcing COVID-19 solutions on campus

In a challenging time, Tim Raderstorf saw an opportunity.

Raderstorf is the chief innovation officer in the College of Nursing and also leads Ohio State's Innovation Studio. In the early stages of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, he saw a way the studio could help. He and his colleagues launched the Coronavirus Challenge, which is inviting submissions that can benefit health care workers.

"We can help people on the frontline who are saying, ‘I wish someone would just build me this.’ We can make that happen now.”

The Challenge launched on March 23, and he and his team have been reviewing submissions since. Those selected will receive funding to move the projects forward.
